During January and February 2012, the survey is being sent to a random sample of patients who had an overnight stay in a Scottish hospital between October 2010 and September 2011.
The questionnaire has been revised since the previous survey. The main change to the questionnaire is the inclusion of several new questions on experience of care and support services required after leaving hospital. Local and national results from the survey will be published at the end of August
